Welcome to Richard's UNIX Shell Scripting Universe. A place where almost anything is possible as long as you are prepared to think on your feet and go with the flow. I am a great believer in code re-use. Not the cut and paste kind, that just gives you more bugs to fix each time you copy a few lines from one place to another. No, the code re-use I'm talking about here is modularisation. Don't do it twice when you can create a function once and use it twice. If you would like to know more about how to use and create your own functions in a UNIX Shell Scripting environment, just come on in and browse around at your leisure.
